The Conservation of the Amur Leopards
Places like the World Wildlife Fund, Wildlife Conservation Society, and many scientist are trying to help the Amur leopard. The world Wildlife Fund is supporting the anti poaching activities and has convinced Russia to reroute a oil pipeline. The Russian oil pipeline would make it harder for the leopards to move across their territories and to make new territories. The Wildlife Conservation Society is keeping a close watch by taking camera trap surveys.
There are many projects going towards the Amur leopards. There are four anti-poaching teams and a special police force in place. Monitoring of the leopards through camera traps and an education system for children to learn about the hurt of poaching.
You can make a difference too! Simple things like sharing the information of the Amur leopard is a huge help. A big step would be to "adopt" a leopard through World Wildlife Fund. "Adopting" a leopard would support WWF in supporting and saving an Amur leopard.
